Cut pauses automatically
There is nothing to set up. As soon as a clip is in VoiceCut, the app finds the pauses and cuts them out. You then see every cut in the text and can bring it back.
- 01
Pick the video language
On the start screen, “More” holds “Video language”: Deutsch or English. It applies to the next clip you record or choose.
- 02
Record or choose a clip
Tap “Record clip” or “Choose clip”. The cut starts right away and you see “Finding pauses …”. “Cancel” stops it.
- Android:
- While VoiceCut cuts, Android shows a notification.
- 03
Look at the cuts
In the “Cut” tab, every removed pause is a marker in the text with its length, for example “0.8 s”. To hide the markers, turn off “Show pauses” under “More”.
- 04
Bring a pause back
Tap the marker. The part is back in the video. Tap again to cut it out again.
- 05
Set a cut exactly
Press and hold a marker. A ruler opens: the left half moves the start, the right half the end, one frame at a time. “may clip speech” warns you when the cut runs into a word.
Good to know
- There is no setting for pause length. VoiceCut cuts every take the same way.
- Wrong language? In the “Cut” tab, “More” holds “Change video language”. The clip is analyzed again and its cut, corrections, overlays, green screen and title image are lost.
